# Yosemite Basically Sucks Now.

The park and the wilderness part is still ok, but lodging, food, campground, anything that Aramark has their shady paws stuck in is pretty well toast.  Wawona is closed because someone fell when a balcony gave way from a building, the ceiling at the Ahwahnee has a giant hole in it and the rooms at Yosemite Lodge are worse than that hotel in The Shining.  I’m not posting the pics of how filthy that place was, just disgusting.

Unfortunately reservations for the park without hotel reservations are nearly impossible to get, and the only other alternative is to arrive prior to 5 am.

There are just too many killer parks (in the normal times, at least) like Yellowstone, Grand Tetons, Arches, etc to waste all that money going to Yosemite to get your heart broken.  Very sad, since Yosemite is SO incredibly take your breath away beautiful.
