This place does not disappoint.
Whether you are looking for a bunch of super cool little places to eat, or you are jonesing to spend too much money on some really cute and kitschy overpriced trinkets, Moab has got you covered.
Arches – it’s huge! We did not get through it in a day, but we were time limited so we picked out what we really wanted to see, got that done before it got super hot (yes, October can still be hot there, who knew), and then unloaded our bikes and took a ride along the Colorado. We took a longer ride on the same path the next day.
Loved it, can’t wait to go again. There’s a shit ton of cool parks and day trips in the region – Kanab – Canyonlands – Dead Horse – and we’ll see where we end up next time.
In case you’re wondering –
Cactus Jacks – GREAT breakfast
Pasta Jays – lunch worthy, solid 3.5 on the 5 scale
Thai Bella Moab – good Thai food, great prices, friendly people
and of course…
Desert Thread – this is like a little magic gem in the middle of the desert – she’s got beautiful yarn, lots of hand dyed and hand spun, very artisinal, and she’s an absolutely lovely person to chat with. Don’t miss it if you are a maker or knitter or crocheter or just like talking to cool people who have great shops.
