It’s not just art, it’s engineering!
HYBYCOZO. I know it’s a reference to Hitchhiker’s Guide, but since I’ve not actually done more than skimmed that book once (sorry, just not my cup of tea), then I can’t really say much more than that about the name.
What I do know is that they have created some absolutely amazing pieces of art that change over the course of the day, and they are like fairy magic at night. They cast incredible shadows, and movement from the wind (or human hands) causes the shadows to turn into a kaleidoscope of incredibly engineered beauty. The first couple of times I saw the exhibit it was in the dark and I did not even realize that some of the pieces were painted in different colors lol…
Since I like to use my DBG membership, I made multiple trips over to check it out – both during the day and at dusk and in the dark. I’m contemplating how to incorporate a miniature version of one of these pieces into my own backyard work in progress.
